Breaking Causes is the community service initiative of The Breaking News Network to support and fund good causes, local, regional and national, by developing “Groupon“-type Daily Deal campaigns that are promoted on the Breaking News Network. The Breaking News Network is a national network of hyperlocal city sites with the mission of serving communities with social media sourced local news and daily deals.
We work with good causes to create campaigns with local merchants that benefit consumers by offering them a deep discounted coupon in exchange for their donation. The consumer loves getting a great deal with their donation. The campaigns benefit merchants with new customer acquisition in the same way Groupon’s Daily Deals does. There are zero upfront costs and Breaking Causes charges no consulting or other soft fund raising fees. All net proceeds are donated to the good cause.
